ORLAND PARK, Ill. (STMW) -- Two teenage girls have been charged after they used pepper spray on security officers who tried to detain them Friday as they left the Macy's store at Orland Square Mall without paying for merchandise, Orland Park police said.

The Southtown Star is reporting that Trinity Green, 18, of the 0-100 block of Marquette Street in Park Forest, and Zana Jackson, 19, of the 22800 block of Valley Drive in Richton Park, were each charged with armed robbery, according to police.

They said Macy's security agents observed Green and Jackson stealing goods, and when they approached the teens, Jackson resisted and produced a canister of pepper spray, spraying the agents.

Police said the pair tried to flee with the merchandise but were arrested by police.

Bail was set at $75,000 for Green and $90,000 for Jackson, police said.
