CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot to death in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Monday afternoon on the South Side.

Police found 25-year-old Jonathan Murray lifeless in the 6600 block of South Claremont Avenue at 4:22 p.m., less than a block from his home, authorities said.

Murray, of the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

He had been shot multiple times, the medical examiner’s office said.

Police and the medical examiners office both listed different addresses of where the shooting occurred.

Police said the shooting happened in the 6600 block of South Claremont Avenue, but the medical examiner’s office said the shooting happened in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
