Police Warn Of Robberies In Grand Boulevard
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning South Side residents of a recent string of robberies over the last few weeks in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood.
The suspects rob their victims by showing a handgun or using force, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The robberies occurred:
-the 100 block of East 40th Street on July 17 about 6:40 a.m.;
-the 0-100 block of East 40th Street on July 22 about 3:10 p.m.;
-the 200 block of East 40th Street on July 23 about 8 p.m.;
-the 4000 block of South Prairie Avenue on Aug. 4 about 12:05 a.m.
Police describe the suspects as between one and three 19-27 year old males who are between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot, about 130-170 pounds and wear their hair in dreadlocks.
