CHICAGO (STMW) -- A South Side man has been charged with the May shooting death of a man in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Roman Forman, 25, faces one count of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a 25-year-old man on May 29, police said.

The victim, Freddie Walton and his girlfriend were walking into a store at 122nd and Halsted streets when a vehicle with two people inside pulled up and opened fire, police said.

Walton was shot in the neck and shoulder and was pronounced dead at Roseland Community Hospital, police said.
