CHICAGO (STMW) -- A puppy was rescued from a two-alarm fire in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood that affected three buildings Tuesday.

The two-alarm fire spread to three consecutive buildings in the 7600 block of South Eggleston Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs. The center building was vacant.

A dog was rescued from one of the buildings, and no one was hurt in the blaze, Fire Media said.

Details about how and when the fire was started, or whether it has been extinguished, were not immediately available.
