Report: Whitlock Leaves FOX For ESPN
(CBS) Days before the much-anticipated launch of FOX Sports 1, columnist Jason Whitlock is leaving the network to return to ESPN.
The move comes as a bit of a surprise, as Whitlock abruptly left ESPN in 2006 and has been critical of the network since his departure.
Whitlock, known for calling others out for acts of racism, has indicated First Take is aimed at unemployed African American.
"It's not by accident that they've added the rap music, added the black women eye candy," Whitlock said on a podcast with the New York Times' Richard Sandomir last fall. "Skip Bayless picks on certain black targets. Then they brought in Stephen A. Smith to smooth it out."
