Six Hurt In Near West Side Bus Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Six people were taken to the hospital after a CTA bus was involved in a crash on the Near West Side.

Police said the crash happened at 10:20 a.m., near the intersection of 15th Street and Western Avenue. The bus was involved in a crash with a pickup truck and a semi-trailer truck.

The Fire Department said six people were taken to the hospital, and 18 others refused treatment at the scene. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

A hazardous materials response was also activated, because of a diesel fuel spill caused by the crash.
