Woman, Shot Twice, Walks Into Hospital In South Chicago

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman walked into a hospital Wednesday night in the South Chicago neighborhood with two gunshot wounds to her abdomen.

The woman, believed to be in her 20s, walked into Advocate Trinity Hospital shortly after 9:30 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.

She was not cooperating with police but did say she was shot in the 8100 block of South Exchange Avenue, Gaines said.

The woman was listed in "stable" condition and no one was in custody early Thursday, Gaines said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
