Two Men Wounded In South Chicago Drive-By Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were wounded in a drive-by shooting Friday morning in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The men were standing on the sidewalk in the 8200 block of South Baltimore Avenue about 10:20 a.m. when shots were fired from a maroon pickup with multiple males inside, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder and taken in "stable" condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Estrada said. A 20-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the back of the head and was listed in "stable" condition.

No one was in custody early Friday afternoon as Area South detectives investigate.
