CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Calumet City man was killed and another man was wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in the South Side Kenwood neighborhood.

The shooting occurred just before 5 p.m. in the 4500 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.

The man killed was shot multiple times inside a vehicle, O'Brien said. The second man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the foot and taken to an area hospital in good condition.

Both men are documented gang members, O'Brien said.

The 26-year-old man killed is from the 200 block of Oglesby Avenue in Calumet City, and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

His name was not released Wednesday night pending notification of relatives.

Nobody is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
