Man Found Stabbed To Death In Alley

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found dead with stab wounds Sunday in an alley in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

Jamal Harmon, 19, was found in an alley with stab wounds in the 7600 block of South Carpenter Street about 7:30 a.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Harmon, of the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue, was pronounced dead on the scene minutes later, according to the medical examiner's office.

Police said he sustained a laceration to his throat.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Monday.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
