Man Critically Wounded In Pilsen Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 19-year-old man was critically wounded Wednesday evening during a shooting in the Pilsen neighborhood.
The 19-year-old was standing in an alley near the 2100 block of South Ashland Avenue when a shooter approached on foot and opened fire about 7:30 p.m., police said.
Police said bullets struck the man in the back and shoulder. He was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated the shooting, which the believe to be gang-related.
