Man Pistol-Whipped During Montgomery Home Invasion

(STMW) -- Two men are being sought for a Thursday home invasion that injured a male in west suburban Montgomery.

Two men entered the home on Kevin Drive near Orchard Road and Route 30 in unincorporated Montgomery about 6:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the Kane County Sheriff's office.

The men confronted a male inside and demanded items they believed were at the home, the sheriff's office said. One of the men struck the victim with a handgun.

The victim was able to flee the home and call police, the sheriff's office said. He was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Both suspects are described as 25-year-old black men, the sheriff's office said. One of the men was 5-foot-9 with a stocky build with a deep voice.

The suspects' vehicle is described as a gold, four-door Pontiac Grand Am with a missing rear hubcap, the sheriff's office said.

Anyone with information should contact the sheriff's office at (630) 208-2037.
