Man Fatally Shot In Austin Apartment
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot dead in an Austin neighborhood apartment on the West Side, police said.
A friend found 48-year-old Gregory Daniel about 9:45 p.m. Monday on the bedroom floor of his apartment in the 5300 block of West Adams Street with gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen, authorities said. He was pronounced dead early Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Daniel had not been in contact with friends or family for two days before he was found, authorities said.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
