(CBS) Former Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson chimed in on the bullying case that is currently plaguing his old team.

But Johnson wasn’t quick to back Jonathan Martin, who left the team after he was allegedly severely bullied by teammate Richie Incognito.

“People have got to realize that the NFL locker room is full of joking and teasing and not in a malicious way, but at times tasteless and over the line,” Johnson said on Fox’s NFL pre-game show after Jay Glazer’s exclusive interview with Incognito aired.

Johnson also questioned the Dolphins for drafting Martin so highly.

“You look at this, and the Dolphins used a high pick on Jonathan Martin and had high expectations,” Johnson said. “Well, other teams shied away from (drafting) Martin. Maybe the Dolphins should have investigated why they shied away.”
