Detainee Who Escaped From Gary Police Turns Self In

GARY, Ind. (CBS) -- An inmate who escaped from Gary Police turned himself in Saturday afternoon, according to a Gary Police spokesperson.

On Friday, officers were moving Jamal Haskins, 21, from court to a van to take him to jail when he broke out of his handcuffs. Two officers were hurt in the scuffle.

A judge had ordered Haskins to get treatment at a mental health facility.
