Major Wright Ruled Out, But Paea, Ratliff Will Play

By Adam Hoge-

MINNEAPOLIS (CBS) — The Bears will be without starting strong safety Major Wright Sunday against the Vikings as he was officially ruled inactive with a hamstring injury.

Wright suffered the injury in practice Friday. Craig Steltz will get the start in his place.

The Bears are hurting at safety, where backup Anthony Walters (groin) is also out. Sean Cattouse was elevated from the practice squad Friday and he'll serve as the only backup safety Sunday. He'll wear No. 36.

Meanwhile, the Bears will get some depth back at defensive tackle. Both Stephen Paea (toe) and Jeremiah Ratliff (groin) are active. Paea is expected to start, while Ratliff will come off the bench and likely be limited by a snap count.

Here are the inactives for both teams:

Chicago Bears
QB Jay Cutler
S Major Wright
S Anthony Walters
LB Lance Briggs
OL James Brown
OT Jonathan SCott
DE Cornelius Washington

Minnesota Vikings
QB Josh Freeman
CB Josh Robinson
