CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two men were killed and at least 14 other people have been wounded in shootings since the Thanksgiving weekend began Wednesday night.

Sherod Nesbitt, 24, was found lying on the ground in the 11100 block of South Vernon Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds to the head just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday night, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Nesbitt, of the 11100 block of South Longwood Drive, was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:21 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

On Saturday afternoon, Gentiles Williamson, 27, died after he was shot three times in the chest less than a block from his Garfield Park home, authorities said.
