Officer Injured During Traffic Stop In West Town
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Chicago Police officer was injured during a traffic stop early Thursday in the West Town neighborhood.
While conducting the traffic stop, the officer became involved in a physical altercation with a male about 3 a.m. in the 900 block of North Willard Court, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The officer is expected to be treated and released from St. Mary Hospital with minor injuries, Alfaro said.
The male was taken into custody, Alfaro said.
