Woman Suffers Minor Injury After Fall Onto CTA Tracks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman suffered only minor injuries Friday, after she fell on the tracks at a CTA Red Line station, and came into contact with a train.

The woman fell on the tracks at the 87th Street station platform around 8:45 a.m.

She came into contact with a northbound train that was stopping at the station, and suffered a minor head injury.

Power to the tracks was quickly shut off, and other passengers helped her get back on the platform.

She was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center in good condition.

Red Line trains were delayed for about 20 minutes while power was shut off to the tracks south of 63rd Street.
