2 Dead, 4 Wounded In Shootings Since Monday Afternoon

CHICAGO (STMW) -- At least two people were killed and four wounded in shootings across the city since Monday afternoon.

The most recent fatal shooting occurred about 7:40 p.m. Monday in the Logan Square neighborhood.

Alexander Rodriquez, 22, of the 2200 block of North Reta Avenue, suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and leg around in the 2300 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Rodriquez was then taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

About 12:35 p.m., a woman was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Natasha Green, 19, was shot in the head and taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner's office.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and listed in "stable" condition at an area hospital, police said.

A little more than two hours later, two men were injured in a drive-by shooting in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

About 2:45 p.m. the two were standing outside with a group in the 1300 block of North St. Louis Avenue when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots before fleeing the scene, police said.

A 21-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs and an 18-year old was shot in the buttocks, both were taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in good condition, police said.

Police believe the shooting was gang-related.

Just after 5 p.m. a 29-year-old man was driving in the 2400 block of North Avers Avenue when a person on foot opened fire, hitting the man in the leg before fleeing the scene, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in "stable" condition, police said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings as area detectives investigate.
