4 Injured In Aurora Mobile Home Fire

AURORA, Ill. (STMW) -- Four people were hospitalized after a fire in a mobile home in West suburban Aurora Tuesday night.

The fire was first reported about 9:10 p.m. in the 40 block of Margaret's Lane, according to a statement from the Aurora Fire Department. When fire crews arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames.

Four people were injured. A 56-year-old man suffered second- and third-degree burns and smoke inhalation; A 23-year-old man was also suffered second-degree burns and smoke inhalation; A 24-year-old man was hospitalized for "numerous lacerations"; and a 54-year-old woman suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation, according to the statement.

All four were taken to Presence Mercy Center In Aurora, but their conditions were not known, according to the statement.

The mobile home and everything inside was destroyed. The damaged was estimated at $50,000.

No firefighters were injured and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
