Man Charged In Palos Hills Stabbing

PALOS HILLS, Ill. (STMW) -- A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a person during a fight in southwest suburban Palos Hills Sunday afternoon.

Michael Furlano, 47, of Burbank, was charged with felony aggravated battery for the stabbing in the 10400 block of 81st Court, Palos Hills police said in a release.

Police went to the home about 2:50 p.m. and spoke to the man injured, who said he had argued with Furlano inside the home, the release said.

They fought on the lawn, then Furlano went back inside to get a knife and stabbed him twice in the torso, police claim.

He fled, but police found him hiding inside the garage, the release said. The injured person was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Furlano was expected to appear for a bond hearing Monday, police said.
