Photos Show Police Station 'Water Fight' After Bullet Hits Pipe

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago Police officer who accidentally fired a gun into a water pipe created quite a cleanup challenge, based on photos that emerged on the Internet on Wednesday.

Three images posted on the photo sharing site Imgur show the damaged pipe and one officer's attempt to protect office equipment from the resulting cascade of water from the ceiling.

Nobody was hurt but the leak caused damage to an office, police said.

The officer in question is likely to face disciplinary action, police said.

Several prisoners in the station's holding area were transferred to another station after the building was left without water overnight.
