(CBS) Goaltender Roberto Luongo was traded from Vancouver to Florida on Tuesday afternoon, ending what was both a successful (three All-Star Game appearances) and rocky eight-year run with the Canucks.

In reacting to the trade, Luongo took to Twitter — but not for the reason you might think. He didn’t take his former employer to task, nor did he complain.

He simply sent out a palm tree emoticon.
