Man Killed In South Chicago Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and killed about two blocks from his home in the South Chicago neighborhood Monday evening.
He was found shot in the abdomen and lying in a doorway in the 2500 block of East 84th Street about 6:05 p.m., police said.
Jareem Jackson, 22, of the 8300 block of South Colfax Avenue, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:02 p.m., a representative for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
Area South detectives are investigating.
