(CBS) – A woman was fatally shot Monday in a Griffith, Ind. church and school parking lot, and the suspect — her estranged husband — later killed himself at the Gary home they once shared.

Griffith police say they were summoned to Saint Mary’s School, 525 N. Broad St., around 4:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found the victim. The Lake County Coroner identified her as 42-year-old Nina Castro, who had recently moved to Chicago.
