CHICAGO (CBS) — Charges are pending against a man accused of hitting two police officers with a car overnight.

The officers were handling a domestic incident, WBBM Newsradio’s Regine Schlesinger reports.

They escorted the victim to her car in the alley behind Fulton Street at Kedzie but when they got there, the man suspected of abusing her, was in the car.

He tried to drive off, hitting the two officers before the car went into a fence and a building.

He was arrested.

The two officers are recovering from non-lethal injuries.
