CHICAGO (STMW) — Police are warning residents about apartment burglaries in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side in April and May.

In each incident, someone entered apartments during daytime hours and took property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries have occurred at the following locations during daytime hours:

• 5000 block of South Seeley Avenue on April 30.

• 4900 block of South Seeley Avenue on May 8.

• 4900 block of South Hoyne Avenue on May 14.

Police advise residents to keep properties well lit; keep doors and windows secured; repair broken windows, doors or locks; and report suspicious activity immediately.
