Woman In Serious Condition After Shooting In North Lawndale
(STMW) -- A 28-year-old woman was shot early Sunday in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
The shooting happened at 12:15 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Cermak Road, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer. The woman was standing on the sidewalk when the shooter emerged from the alley, fired multiple shots and struck the woman once in the shoulder, Greer said.
She was taken Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Greer added.
