Driver Arrested, Jailed After Driving Without Pants: Prosecutors

(STMW) -- Thursday night wasn't the first time a Chicago man was caught with his pants down, and Cook County authorities fear there may have been even more incidents.

Aleksandar Mihailovic, 54, had a "history of public indecency arrests" when he was taken into custody in unincorporated Des Plaines after he "drove pantsless through a condominium complex," a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's office said.

About 7:20 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the 9900 block of Linda Lane when a caller reported that a man, "nude from the waist down, was gratifying himself while driving a silver 2011 Toyota," the statement said.

A vehicle matching the description of the car, including the license plate, was pulled over shortly thereafter in the 9500 block of Dee Road, police said, and Mihailovic was arrested.

A search of his car turned up pornographic magazines and other items, police aid.

Mihailovic has four previous convictions: three for public indecency and one for criminal sexual abuse, the statement said.

He was charged with felony count of public indecency and ordered held on a $30,000 bond. His next court appearance is July 1 in Skokie.

The sheriff's office believes Mihailovic, of the 6500 block of West Irving Park, "may have committed similar offenses in nearby jurisdictions," and is asking anyone with information to call (708) 865-4896.
