Abreu Named AL Rookie Of Month

(CBS) White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu has been named the American League Rookie of the Month for June.

Abreu batted .313 with 10 homers, 22 RBIs and had a .677 slugging percentage in 25 games last month. He's the first White Sox player to win the award twice in a season, as he also earned the honor in April.

Abreu leads the majors with a .627 slugging percentage and is tied for the lead in homers with 26.
