(CBS) Most likely, last night’s Home Run Derby was far, far too long and tedious to draw your attention. So for those reasons, sports fans everywhere get a pass on if they missed anything to devote their time to better pursuits.

That said, there were a few highlights worthy of mention. Most notable was Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton’s upper-deck blast in the first round, which was measured at 422 feet but projected to go 510 feet if the bleachers hadn’t gotten in the way. It was just a few rows from leaving Target Field altogether.
