DeKalb Woman Searching For Lost Two-Foot Long Lizard

(CBS) -- A woman in DeKalb, Illinois, is asking for help in finding a lost pet: a two-foot lizard.

"I'm just so worried about this poor lizard. I just really want him to get what he needs," said Elise Nall.

Nall isn't the owner of the lizard - apparently a Nile monitor lizard. She says it just appeared in her garden.

"So the lizard showed up in our garden on Friday. And my boyfriend Hayden saw it and he thought he saw something scaly in our garden and I didn't know what to think... I said OK, maybe he thinks he saw something but he didn't."

But then - there it was. In the hostas. And the last she saw of it was Saturday.

"And we really, really don't want it to get hurt. We don't want anybody to hurt it or kill it."

She says she's hearing the two-foot lizard once lived down the street in DeKalb - but may have escaped - or maybe it's not wanted by its owner.
