MJ Is 'Cool' With LeBron Wearing No. 23 Again

(CBS) On Sunday, LeBron James revealed that he'll wear jersey No. 23 upon his return to the Cavaliers. He wore that number for the first seven years of his career in Cleveland, then wore No. 6 during his four years with the Miami Heat.

Of course, no one made No. 23 more famous than Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Well aware of NBA history, James paid homage to Jordan when he stopped wearing No. 23, saying, "I feel like no NBA player should wear 23. I'm starting a petition, and I've got to get everyone in the NBA to sign it. Now, if I'm not going to wear No. 23, then nobody else should be able to wear it.''

So what's Jordan think now that James is going back to No. 23? He's all for it, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.

"I'm cool with it,'' Jordan told ESPN.com. "I don't own a number.''
