(CBS) White Sox first baseman has been named the American League’s Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month after a scorching July.

In 25 games in July, Abreu batted .374 with six homers, 19 RBIs and a 1.099 OPS. He led the AL in average, doubles (11), slugging percentage (.667) and total bases (66) in July.

He also won both those awards in April. Abreu leads the majors with 31 homers and 84 RBIs.

Abreu is the first rookie to win the Player of the Month honor twice in a season.
