Malia Obama Attends Lollapalooza

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Malia Obama was seen at Lollapalooza this past weekend, and she didn't even have a chaperone -- assuming the Secret Service doesn't count.

The eldest daughter of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, 16-year-old Malia was seen by many as she attended the Chicago music festival that featured the likes of Eminem, the Kings of Leon and Outkast.

It is unknown whether -- like many other Lolla attendees -- she got muddy, though it seems unlikely.

Her appearance blew up on Twitter, with many users noting the Secret Service guards who were with her at all times. Even though they weren't wearing the cliche black suits with earpieces, the hulking and disciplined agents apparently stood out despite their casual wear.

One festival goer even saw Malia watching Chance the Rapper, a performer from Chicago.

This was quite a change for one of President Obama's daughters, who are usually only seen in photos when they're with their mother or father.

Not even the leader of the free world can keep a 16-year-old locked up forever.

Judging by the photo below, Malia seemed to have fun.
