Man Injured After Falling From Water Tower In Humboldt Park

(CBS) -- The fire department has brought a man down from the roof of a commercial building in Humboldt Park - after he fell from the building's water tower.

Fire Department Spokesman Larry Langford says the man was conscious when he was brought down - and was in serious to critical condition when he was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Langford says the man, who's about 40 years old, fell about 30 feet. He says the tower itself rise two or three stories above the roof of the three-story building, which houses Stone City Kitchen and Bathroom Design Center.

The building is at Sacramento and Grand.
