Bumper Crop Of Bees, Wasps And Hornets Leading To More People Getting Stung
(CBS) -- If you or someone you love has been stung, at least you're not alone, reports WBBM's John Cody.
Corky Schnadt, the Secretary of the Illinois Beekeepers Association says he's seen a bumper crop of bees, hornets and wasps this year. He says they're a lot of them and they're busy now, which means contact with people.

"I'm probably getting four to six calls per day across northern Illinois of people saying 'I have got bees in my house' and they send me pictures and in veritably they are wasps or they are hornets," he said.
Schnadt says insects see the sun's angle changing and food supplies dwindling, so they're anxious and more likely to run into people, who're getting stung.
