Scrub-A-Dub-Dub, When Are You In The Tub?

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- How often do we shower or take a bath?

According to a recent survey by YouGov, one in three American adults do not shower every day.

Most alarming, three percent of men said they never clean themselves.

All women, at least, shower or bathe anywhere from once a week to several times a day.

Of the nearly 1,200 people surveyed this past July, about 1 in 10 are super tidy.

A total of 8 percent of men and 9 percent of women shower or bathe twice a day or more.

In all, two in three (66%) of people shower once a day or more.

Those most likely to shower once a day or more include those on higher incomes (77% of those earning more than $80,000 a year), divorced people (74%) and those in the South (71%).

Folks in the Midwest are the least likely to shower daily, the survey found.

Democrats are the most likely of voters to shower more than once a day (10%), followed by those who vote for Independents (8%). Just 4% of Republicans do this more than once a day.
