(CBS) The Bears have filled the last spot on their 53-man roster by signing cornerback Demontre Hurst, they announced Thursday morning. The move comes three days after Chicago announced that veteran cornerback Charles Tillman will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured right triceps.
Hurst made his NFl debut with Chicago in Week 1 against Buffalo, recording two tackles on special teams. He was then waived as the Bears had to shuffle the roster with a slew of injuries heading into Sunday’s win against the 49ers. Hurst spent his entire 2013 rookie season on Chicago’s practice squad. He’s a product of Oklahoma.
