(CBS) Following wins against the 49ers and Jets on the road over their last two games, the Bears host the Packers in a much anticipated NFC North matchup this Sunday. While Green Bay has struggled in starting 1-2 and suffering losses to Seattle and Detroit, the excitement for the showdown is palpable, as prices for Bears-Packers tickets on the secondary market continue to soar. Sunday’s game will not only be the most expensive home game on the Bears schedule, but it’s also the most expensive game in the NFL this season.
Bears-Packers tickets have an average current price of $655.19 on the secondary market, according to TiqIQ, a 71.3 percent increase over the season average of $382.48 for Bears tickets at Soldier Field in 2014. Such a high secondary price exceeds the NFL’s next top-priced game by more than $100, which will be played between the Broncos and Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Week 9. That game currently has a secondary market average of $557.23, nearly 15 percent lower than the Bears-Packers average.READ MORE: Chicago Weather: Breezy On Tuesday
