Police: Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Elgin

ELGIN, Ill. (STMW) -- A 36-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in northwest suburban Elgin, police said.

About 7:20 p.m., William Maglares was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Bowes Road, near Nolan Road, when it rear ended an SUV that was traveling in the same lane, according to a statement from Elgin Police. Maglares was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash, police said.

Maglares, of Elgin, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

It was later revealed that Maglares had a blood alcohol content level over the legal limit, police said.

The Kane County Coroner's office could not immediately confirm the death Sunday morning.
