Blackhawks Trim Roster To 30 Players

(CBS) The Blackhawks trimmed their roster to 30 players on Monday morning, assigning forward Joakim Nordstrom, forward Dennis Rasmussen, forward Garret Ross, defenseman Adam Clendening, defenseman Klas Dahlbeck and goaltender Scott Darling to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Chicago's roster now has 18 forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies. Teams dress 20 in the regular season.

The Blackhawks are 2-2 in the preseason so far and have two exhibition games left before opening the season at Dallas on Oct. 9.
