Blackhawks Send Teravainen, Dahlbeck To Rockford; Roster At 27

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Blackhawks have assigned forward Teuvo Teravainen and defenseman Klas Dahlbeck to the Rockford Icehogs of the AHL, trimming their roster to 27 players.

The Blackhawks completed their preseason schedule Friday with a loss to the Rangers. They dress 20 players for each regular season game.

Chicago still needs to make a move to trim about $2.2 million off its salary cap by the season opener on Thursday. The most likely move is a trade, probably either Michal Rozsival or Nick Leddy, who have been rumored to be on the trading block.

The team's active roster now includes 15 forwards, nine defensemen, and three goalies.
