Police: Man Tried To Lure Kids From Ashburn Home With money
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man tried to lure two children away from their Ashburn neighborhood home by offering them money Sunday evening on the Southwest Side.
The man offered the two children, ages 10 and 12, money to lure them away from their home in the 7800 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue about 7:10 p.m., according to an alert from Chicago Police.
The children's parent saw the man and began chasing him, police said. He was last seen near 79th and Kolmar.
The suspect is described as a 25- to 30-year-old year old man, between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot, 150 and 160 pounds, with a slender build, short black hair and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a white logo.
