Blackhawks' Crawford To Miss At Least Next 2 Games

(CBS) Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford will miss Chicago's next two games with an upper-body injury, as he won't travel on the team's road trip to Nashville and then St. Louis, the team said Wednesday.

With Crawford out, backup Antti Raanta will continue to fill the starting role. In his season debut Tuesday night, Raanta posted a shutout with 32 saves in Chicago's 4-0 win against Philadelphia.

The Blackhawks face the Predators on Thursday night and the Blues on Saturday night.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville hopes that Crawford can resume skating before Sunday's home game against the Senators, the Chicago Tribune reported. The recently recalled Scott Darling is serving as Raanta's backup for now, and Quenneville didn't rule out playing him Sunday, the Tribune reported.
