Police Searching For Man Who Attacked Jogger In Arlington Heights

(CBS) -- Police in Arlington Heights are looking for the man who attacked a jogger last night and they believe he's done the same thing before, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.

According to police, a woman was jogging in the area of Valley Lane and Windsor Drive near Lake Arlington Park just after 5 p.m. Friday. A man wearing dark clothing came up and jogged alongside her and tried to engage her in conversation.

Police say she ignored him and he grabbed her by the waist and spun her around. She fought back and the suspect ran away. This is the third such incident in little over a year in the same area, according to police. The others occurred in September and October of last year and early in the morning.

Police believe the same suspect may have been involved in each of the incident. They are suggesting that women don't jog alone after dark or in secluded areas.
