(CBS) — Former Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster joined Bruce Levine and Mike Esposito on “Inside the Clubhouse”on  Saturday morning to talk about his new front office role as a special assistant with the Cubs.

“For me, the role is hopefully going to be something that makes an impact on some young kids in the organization, but at the same point, I have a lot of learning to do,” Dempster said. “I don’t know how this side works as much and I am just going to take it in stride. It is not going to be a ton of work, you are not going see me every day, but at the same tome I’m going to take a lot of pride in it and do the best job I can at it.”
