Man Shot During Robbery In Gage Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and seriously wounded Sunday night during a robbery in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The man, 33, was in the 2800 block of West 53rd Street about 9:10 p.m. when he was approached by six to eight males who took his cell phone and fired shots, said police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines, citing preliminary information.
He was shot in the torso and taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, Gaines said.
